Luxury and excitement combine at the Los Suenos Marina and Resort.

This internationally famed resort is tucked along Herradura Bay, surrounded by rolling hills and lush forestry. It's a sprawling community, with over 1000 acres dedicated to the Pacific coastline. Within it guests will discover private residences and five-star amenities, all intended to provide an experience like no other.

There’s an expectation with Costa Rican vacations: one of quaint villages and small-town thrills. Those entering the Los Suenos Marina and Resort, however, will find an elegant alternative.

This resort is master-planned, with every detail carefully crafted in the name of style. It sits inside a private rainforest reserve and within it are over 500 residences (from condominiums to villas, homes to intimate single rooms). Each of these offers sweeping views of the Pacific and easy access to resort activities. At Los Suenos guests are treated to fine dining, shopping, an 18-hole golf course, an exclusive beach club and more. Most impressive, though, is the 200-slip marina, where boats can set sail for the area’s most prominent attraction: fishing.

Los Suenos is found within the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica. This promises some of the country’s best fishing opportunities throughout the year. During the winter (December through February) Marlins and Sailfish arrive, providing a challenge to every fisherman due to their speeds and sizes. As the temperatures rise schools of tuna appear, creating perfect chances to troll. Groupers and Snappers remain close to the shore throughout the fall, and there are even Roosterfish hiding in the inlets and rock pools for a more casual experience. Resort guests can simply stroll down to the beach and cast their lines.

At the Los Suenos Marina there is much to see--and, for the fisherman, there is no better place to be.
